Nostalgic rock at Civic Theatre

The Akron Civic Theatre hosts a Rock ’N’ Remember show at 7:30 p.m. featuring Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, Peaches & Herb, Gary U.S. Bonds, the Happenings and the Reflections. Tickets are $30, with a “date night special” of two for $50. The Civic is at 182 S. Main St., Akron; 330-253-2488, www.akroncivic.com.

Fourth Friday in Barberton

Barberton’s Fourth Friday features live performances, extended store hours, freebies and retailer discounts along West Tuscarawas Avenue. Businesses involved include Lake 8 Movies, Magical Theatre, Kave Coffee Bar and Nine Muses Art Gallery, ACoT (Art Center on Tusc), and several restaurants, antique stores and other retailers. Reggae Fest in downtown Kent

The Kent Reggae Jam takes over 13 bars and clubs in downtown Kent starting at 5 p.m., with JiMiller Band, Tropidelic, Umojah Nation and many more. And it’s all free. Find the lineup and a map at http://kentreggaejam.com

Senior movement class at museum

The Akron Art Museum and Verb Ballets launches Art and Movement for Seniors at the Akron Art Museum. The new wellness program for seniors will run for 10 sessions starting at 11:30 a.m. today. It’s designed for the senior community to encourage creativity, social interaction and appreciation of the arts through movement.
