CUYAHOGA FALLS: The Cuyahoga Falls School District reported a case of bed bugs in one room of the high school building.
On its Facebook page Tuesday, the district said initially one bed bug was found on one student Friday, but on Monday, “as the students returned, the bed bugs returned.”
The post said the room was treated by an exterminator after Friday’s incident, and again after the discovery of more bugs on Monday.
“In addition, we solicited a ‘bug dog’ from Cleveland who verified that the situation was isolated to the singular classroom. We are also in communication with the families involved to assist them in any way that may be deemed necessary,” the post said.
“Given that the situation was isolated to one classroom and a few students, we chose not to induce panic by broadcasting it to the entire building, district, or community,” the post continued. “We continue to work with all parties involved to ensure that the building remains safe and clean.”
