The Browns have parted with six scouts whose contracts were set to expire after the April 28-30 NFL Draft, a team spokesman confirmed Friday.
Rather than waiting until after the draft to let the scouts go, the Browns chose to sever ties with them after determining their contracts wouldn't be renewed. The names of the scouts were not immediately disclosed.
The Browns changed regimes this offseason, and overhauling a scouting department is common whenever that happens.
