ENON, OHIO: A coroner’s office says an 86-year-old man found face down in a pond in western Ohio has died.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the death of Mike Gural at a hospital in Springfield. He had been hospitalized since he was found Tuesday in a pond on his property in the Mad River Township area of Clark County near Enon. The cause of death wasn’t released immediately.
Authorities said emergency crews transported Gural to the hospital after his stepson found him in the pond.
Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Denise Jones says Gural apparently had an accident while cleaning a drainage tube from the pond.
Authorities have said they believe Gural may have been in the water for at least 30 minutes.
