A TimkenSteel employee was found dead at the Faircrest Steel Plant Sunday afternoon.
According to Beacon Journal news partner NewsNet5, Kenny Ray Jr., a TimkenSteel fire technician, was found unresponsive and Perry Township firefighters were called to the scene.
Ray was also an officer with the Creston Police Department. The police department shared condolences Sunday in a message its Facebook page.
“This afternoon one of our new officers, Kenny Ray Jr., was found deceased at his full time job, Timken Steel. At this time there is no official cause of death. Kenny was immediately well liked and accepted by our department.”
