Former Green Little League president arrested for stealing from the league

The former Green Little League president has been accused of stealing from the league for his personal use.

Timothy C. McCloud, 46, of Green has been charged with theft, a fourth-degree felony, and money laundering, a third-degree felony. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office was notified in August that the Green Little League had more than $10,000 missing from its bank account. Detectives conducted interviews and a forensic accountant analyzed the league’s accounts.

Detectives determined that McCloud had been mixing his personal funds with Little League funds and used more than $27,000 in league funds for himself, according to the sheriff’s office.

Green Little League is a separate organization from Green Baseball Softball Federation, which has been in the community since 1958.
