Kayla Kurtz of Kent survived her first night of cooking challenges on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America.
On Sunday’s season premiere, the mother of four impressed mentor-chef Anne Burrell with her shrimp and lobster dish and moves onto the second challenge — a beautiful breakfast — this Sunday night at 9 p.m.
Two of the 16 culinarily challenged competitors were sent home. The winner of the series, which runs through March 5, earns a $25,000 grand prize.
