A 26-year-old Akron man has been arrested and charged with holding a Taco Bell drive-thru worker at gunpoint in an attempt to steal money, police reported.

Tony Cohen is charged with robbery. He’s been held at the Summit County Jail since his arrest on Saturday.

According to reports, Cohen approached the Taco Bell at 1467 S. Arlington St. at about 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 5. He made an order, pulled around to the drive-thru window and pointed a gun at the worker inside. He demanded money, but the worker did not cooperate.

Instead of following the robber’s orders, the worker closed the window and ran away from the drive-thru. Cohen allegedly responded by driving away with nothing to show for his efforts.

The worker provided police with a description of the robber and his vehicle, a silver Mercury Mountaineer SUV.
