Discuss history of Black Panther Party

Learn about the history of the Black Panther Party with a talk and reception featuring professor Waldo E. Martin of the University of California, Berkeley. Martin’s books and scholarship focus on race relations, African-American identity and civil rights. The free George W. Have ‘ConverZations’ about the symphony

Donald Rosenberg, author of a history of the Cleveland Orchestra and a former Beacon Journal and Plain Dealer classical music critic, appears on the Canton Symphony’s ConverZations series at noon. “An American in Paris Meets a Viennese in Hollywood” will discuss the music of Erich Wolfgang Korngold and George Gershwin, whose works will be featured in the symphony’s Oct. 29 concert.
