Counselors will be on hand at Norton High School starting at 7 p.m. Thursday to help the school community cope after a student was struck and killed by a school bus near Norton High School and Norton Cornerstone Elementary School Wednesday afternoon.
The Summit County Medical Examiner was called to the 3200 block of Greenwich Road about 3 p.m. to investigate a fatal crash, according to Chief Medical Investigator Gary Guenther. The name of the victim has not been released, pending identification and notification of relatives.
Norton police, Norton city school officials and a representative of the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office were still on the scene of an accident more than an hour later.
