Eleven of the Browns' NFL-high 17 rookies have a chance to make their regular-season debuts in Week 1.
There are no surprises on the list of Browns players who'll be inactive for the regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
The 17 rookies the Browns have on their 53-man roster are the most in a season opener in franchise history and the most by any NFL team in an opener since the Baltimore Ravens in 2002.
Six of those rookies will be inactive when the Browns face the Eagles: Quarterback Cody Kessler, cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun, inside linebacker Scooby Wright, offensive lineman Shon Coleman, wide receiver Jordan Payton and defensive end Tyrone Holmes.
Third-year cornerback Marcus Burley (groin) is also inactive for the Browns.
The following players will be inactive for the Eagles: wide receiver Bryce Treggs (knee), safety Terrence Brooks, tight end Trey Burton (calf), offensive linemen Josh Andrews, Dillon Gordon, Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Isaac Seumalo.
