‘Pretty in Pink’ on big screen

So, are you Team Blane or Team Duckie? Debate the ending all over again with a 30th anniversary screening of John Hughes’ teen classic Pretty in Pink, at 2 and 7 p.m. at local theaters, including the Cinemark in Cuyahoga Falls, Macedonia and Valley View and Regal theaters in Montrose and Hudson. Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer make up the romantic triangle. Buy tickets at the box office or at www.fathomevents.com.

Enjoy a Valentine’s Day concert

The Canton Symphony Orchestra’s Valentine’s Day concert is called “Young at Heart,” featuring Canton native William Shaub on violin and the Canton Youth Symphony’s Advanced Orchestra. Shaub was already playing with the adult orchestra by the time he was in high school and is now studying at Juilliard. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall, 2331 17th Street NW, Canton. Tickets are $25-$45 at www.cantonsymphony.org, 330-452-2094.

Take a hike with your sweetie

Get some fresh air with your honey and learn how animals show their affection with a free program at Silver Creek Metro Park, 5000 Hametown Road, Norton. You’ll hike the 1.2-mile Pheasant Run Trail with a naturalist to discover “sometimes strange — but always interesting — behaviors of creatures found in the Metro Parks.” For information, visit summitmetroparks.org or call 330-865-8065.
