Take dog out to ballgame

It is Bark in the Park night as the RubberDucks take on the Reading Fightin’ Phils at 7:05 p.m. at Canal Park. Fans can purchase tickets for Section 4 and Section 5 and bring along their favorite four-legged friend. (Your big ol’ Labrador may help you finally finish the Nice 2 Meat You.) Kids can walk through history

Kids in grades 4-6 can learn about the Underground Railroad, the clock tower and disasters that have befallen the city of Hudson in a Summer Walking Tour at 3 p.m. at the Hudson Library & Historical Society, 96 Library St. Meet at the entrance to the library; there will be Popsicles afterward. Go Hawaiian at Akron Zoo

For World Oceans Day, the Akron Zoo is offering half-off admission to anyone who wears a Hawaiian shirt. You’ll learn about the importance of the oceans to some of the zoo’s animals from volunteers. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 500 Edgewood Ave. Adults $12, senior citizens (62 or older) $10, Children (ages 2-14) $9 and Akron Zoo members are free. Parking: $3. 330-375-2550, www.akronzoo.org.
